I was anxiously awaiting this wedding for a while. Heather is a good friend of Lauren and Vic, yes, the same Lauren and Vic, who almost singlehandedly have been supplying us with wedding clients, engagement clients, family portrait people and pregnant couples! Two alone this past weekend! As a lot of you already know, I encourage you guys to connect with me on Facebook, which both Heather, Lauren and Vic do. In that way, you get to know me more on a personal basis, and not just as a photographer. Yeah, we gab about a ton of stuff, not all photo oriented. But that is the fun of it! AND, then I get to see you as well, in another type of light. I’ve been talking to Heather for the past year and knew from everything we had discussed that she was going to be one fun girl. Her and her sister, Robyn, are hysterical. You should have seen their bachelorette party! Anyway, before you knew it, her day was here. She was our Sunday wedding and we got to be at a gorgeous place we love to work at, namely, the Old Field Club.

It is a private club that sits right on a lovely inlet, complete with reeds, a gorgeous view and a completely private setting.

Down the block, sits a private beach which is a beautiful location for wedding party pics, as it has all these gorgeous, colorful, pastel cabanas, think Curacao or the Bahamas!

And, the people who rent them out, are so sweet. Everytime we are there, they couldn’t be nicer, always lending a helping hand with bicycles, picnic baskets, props here and props there! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED these pics with the bicycles–they look so French to me, like a little scene you would see in Provence along the seaside…..

Tom, the wonderful maitre ‘d at the Old Field Club is this great laid back guy who not only makes your day run smoothly, he is such a calming force, really, that never gets rattled and knows how to operate a place that can go with the flow. (We also share a love of good food, Paris, and travel, ha ha…) The inside of the Old Field Club is complete elegance with a colonial charm, brass chandeliers, fireplaces, mouldings, primitive paintings and small paned windows and exceptional food. Anyone thinking about a wonderful location for a wedding or a private party, should look no further.

Her cake was so pretty, complete with yellow bows and a smell that was so fresh and it filled the whole room with the scent of sweet sugar.

We met Heather in the bridal suite with the other girls who were laughing and joking around, drinking their champagne. Her gorgeous silk strapless dress with ribbon detail trim, fit her beautifully. To complete her sunny yellow theme, her girls wore yellow, satin, to-the-knee dresses and Robyn had a slightly different dress as she was the maid of honor. Her cousin, Julia, played the part of the flower girl in a little white silk dress. We laughed as she played the diva and would only give us smiles when she felt it appropriate!

Their ceremony was presided over by the mayor of Patchogue, Mr. Pontieri, which was funny being that we live in Patchogue. Timepiece, a wonderful band, was our music for the evening.

Then they did the traditional Jewish dance, the hora, well, I have never, EVA, had a bride that had such a scared look on her face, check this out of Heather…..

There were four toasts, one by Robyn, which was touching and from the heart. J.P.’s two brothers gave a comedic one, which had the whole crowd laughing out loud. Then Heather’s dad, Sydney, talked of his love for both his daughters and how proud he is of Heather and welcomed J.P. into their family.

The dancing was wild and crazy all night long and we captured this photo of Robyn, Heather’s sister. I, actually laughed out loud in the studio when I came to it in the editing. Sorry, Robyn, it was the funniest candid in a long time, I had to include it, don’t scream at me on Facebook, LOL!

The night was filled with “selfies”, Lauren’s own coined word for taking one’s own photo [quick go trademark the name!] with a camera held high in the air which Heather apparently makes famous wherever her and J.P. go! Lauren approached Rich, who now makes it a habit of wearing ear plugs due to a bad case of ringing in his ears from years of musical abuse from dj’s and bands, LOL, playing at high decibals, and she asked him to take a “selfie” of Heather and J.P. It took like four tries for him to hear her, but then he got one! Too cute! So you know I just had to include “some” of them, there were more, ha ha….

Gotta love the tongue…..

and what on earth is going on with the hand on the butt, hysterical, this is like a photo in a photo…

Our happy couple left yesterday for a two week stint in Greece, lucky stiffs…………….talk to you on Facebook when you return
