SO I’ve been hearing from several of you, “Where have you been? We have been checking the blog so often and no updates!” “What gives?” Well I am back with an engagement shooting and a wedding from last Saturday (soon). Here is the engagement shooting. Sometimes you have to wait for something special, LOL, and be patient. So we met Krista and Josh through one of our many e-mail mailings that we are doing to promote ourselves in our new ” second home” state of Arizona. I can’t tell you how much I love it out here. And, one of the many reasons why I love it so much is because of the place we chose for Krista and Josh to do their engagement photos. Krista had said that she wanted natural environment types of pictures showing Arizona’s flora and fauna, LOL. We had never met in person, but Krista took me up on our offer to all our couples to chat and gossip on Facebook! I have so many brides and dear friends on there, and they really are, you get to talk about all kinds of things, trips we all go on, tv shows we watch, their weddings and pregnancies, naturally, and a whole host of things. Krista is one of those people, like you have known her for years and years. We bonded over the Yankees, LOL, so much that we would, alright, I would, scream and yell during the innings, it was so much fun. When we saw them, they are even cuter than their Facebook profile pics! Adorable……..and with personalities to match. We were laughing from the start. So when she asked me where they should go to do the photos, we mentioned one of our favorite places, Cave Creek, where we always go hiking and to the rodeo, Specifically, Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area. Here are a few from there….

A beautiful, pristine place with mountains, a river (so Rich says, as everytime I HAVE come it is dry, LOL, right Krista and Josh?), tons of varieties of cacti, and horses….. The day’s weather was glorious, but, seriously when isn’t it, but I still have to comment on it, sorry. I even joked with Krista in an e-mail prior to the shoot and said “pray for good weather, LOL” like that would be an issue, ha ha.

Then we spotted these two deers roaming in the brush……so pretty…..

So this was funny, we were on the path and Rich goes to Josh, grab Krista and give her a kiss, which he promptly does. BUT, (sorry Josh) had to put these in as I laughed out loud when I saw the photo……as Josh kissed her, he bent his knee and did a “ta da” moment! I said he was getting in touch with his “estrogen” side, LOL….(hope the guys don’t give you too much ribbing for this one, ha ha). Check out the third photo of them laughing after I ribbed him!

They live in the southern area of Phoenix and Cave Creek is in the north. So we decided to meet at the Buffalo Chip Saloon (the place that rodeo takes place on Wed. and Fri. nights). Rich said to me before they came, go stand over by the fence where the rodeo takes place so I can test the lighting and such. Naturally with all these big professional cameras in hand, all the people who are waiting for the rodeo to start, immediately look over at him instructing me. I said “no way, am I letting you test shoot me, here, with all these people watching!” LOL, is he nuts? Seriously, I am way past any modeling days! So, Rich shot a little of the pre-rodeo, free lance, for you guys to see what I am always talking about and I added some of them in of the many he took. Also, I think it helps to put you in the locale where we met these two.

Little did we know it would be hopping on a Sunday afternoon as I found out it was Wild West Days this past weekend. But it was so much fun. So here are some shots of Krista and Josh in and around the Buffalo Chip….

But when they came he said to them he wanted to take a few shots at the rodeo, and they were like totally natural, as if they were the only ones there! I said “I can’t believe you aren’t even intimidated by the shooting!” as most couples need time to warm up, but not them.

We had to laugh as it came time to leave and Josh said, “Is it starting? Can we wait and see one of the cowboys ride the bull first before we leave?” We said, “sure, it’s beginning now….” Then we saw one ride and Josh didn’t want to leave.

But Krista gave Josh the “eye”, as all us girls are trained to do, ha ha, and we were quickly off to Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area.

Rich and I knew then, that this would be a good shooting and it didn’t prove us wrong
SO that makes US SUPER psyched for the wedding on March 12, 2010. We hope you like them guys, and like always, if you are looking, you have to be commenting and make the “comment whore” as they like to call me smile!
