So the day before Easter, we had a really fun wedding. All the guests were so pretty in their spring suits and just so much fun to be around. I love it when it is like that, you know when the guests come up to you and you just laugh and laugh with them. Kweilin and Wynston live out here in Arizona and we met when we had first moved out here. We did a bridal show at the Tempe Center for the Arts and they were attending. We hit it off right away, over baseball no less. He is so funny and makes me laugh all the time. Like for instance, when they planned their engagement shooting, we were all excited to do a desert shooting. But it became clear upon our suggesting the desert as a location that that wasn’t going to work when Wynston said “I hate the desert, it is so brown!” It gave us a good laugh, so he suggested that they had an upcoming wedding in NYC, how about doing it in Central Park! Not like we don’t do them there all the time, LOL, but it was fun and did provide great photos! Kweilin had worked for the Gainey Ranch Golf Club for awhile and so it became the fitting place for them to do their wedding. It was a glorious day, but then when isn’t it glorious, LOL, out here. They have such beautiful photo locations, one of which was this open courtyard that you will see below. We met her and the girls in the locker room they provide and immediately saw the floral creations of Petal Pusher Florists. I adore the color yellow with it’s bright hue, it makes everything “happy”. Just check out these flowers, are they not the prettiest things….

together with the groomsmen’s yellow ties and boutennieres, it was so pretty. It also went so well with their dark grey suits and the girl’s grey dresses! Check out our little ringbearer giving Wynston a fist pump! Too cute….

.jpg)
And, how great is this groomsmen’s smile, really, he makes me laugh and smile just looking at him……….
.jpg)
Then we hid Wynston away in his respective locker room while we took some photos of Kweilin outside in the lovely gardens. Is she not a gorgeous girl, or what? Wynston is one lucky guy………..check out how radiant, she is!

Wynston voiced that he loved his glasses, so he took a few with the “shades” on, looking pretty cool there, Wynston, my man….

And, who doesn’t love a great pair of shoes, okay six pairs of shoes, LOL, but aren’t they adorable, seriously, with that little bow going on, on the toe?

Okay, so here we were, right before going down the aisle, and our little ringbearer, says “he doesn’t want to do any wedding today!” He went on to say “I just want to play golf, why can’t I play golf, this is boring…..!” I thought I was going to die! He was so cute. So he stood there pouting, braiding Kweilin’s mom’s beaded pocketbook all the while complaining about how he has to do this thing. So I see this row of golf carts and all and I said “come here, let me take your photo over here in one of the carts.” He glanced over at the adults who were put in charge of watching him to get their approval and then a big grin overtook that adorable face of his and the flower girl decided what was good for the goose was good for the gander, LOL, and joined in! How cute are these two! (Only problem was we did have to return to the wedding, the reason why we were all there, LOL, sorry my little man…)
.jpg)
Some details…………ceremony programs in yellow and gray on sticks, so cute and one of the girls bouquets, so pretty with the gray…
.jpg)

and a little pottery tray that worked as the ring holder………….
.jpg)
Then our flower girl started to have second thoughts about this whole “wedding” thing. She started up the aisle, and then decided, nah, maybe not………turned to see her mom prodding her to go, go, just walk……but, not so fast, she turned and started to return to the start of the aisle. Mom then decided it was time to give a little assistance…..got to love kids, they have their own way of doing things!
.jpg)
.jpg)
The ceremony was done by a good friend of Wynston and Kweilin’s, Pastor Chad Johnson. What a great guy! So nice and friendly and he made their ceremony so personal and loving. I love it when a couple knows the person giving their ceremony, it really makes it so special.

This is one of those moments during a wedding, one you talk about no matter how long you are married. A lot of weddings have them, someone says something as a guest, you drop the ring, you screw up your vows or your significant others name, no matter what it is, it helps to break the tension and helps to settle the nerves and just makes plain and simple, makes you and your guests laugh…………………

Making it official with the signing of the Marriage Certificate…..
.jpg)
Then it was time to do some formal portraits on the beautiful grounds of Gainey Ranch Golf Club. There were so many spots, we didn’t know where to begin………….
.jpg)
Rich was in love with this “speckled” tree………..so had to do one there!
.jpg)
Can’t pass up the beautiful colors of the waterfalls………………what a photo op!
.jpg)
Then we said goodbye to the wedding party so they could grab some food and drinks during the cocktail hour while we finished up with our little couple. Plus it also gives them some private time to be alone and get cute together without a ton of people watching them. Wynston, however, always the character, had his own ideas. I was literally laughing so hard as I edited this group of photos. I included only three here, but there were tons of them, he just went on and on, making her laugh………….they are so adorable together!

Then to the front of the building to grab a few near the ginormous palm trees, LOL……………
.jpg)
And then to my favorite photo spot………this little inside courtyard with such pops of color, OMG, I was in love……….so pretty.
.jpg)
.jpg)
another one of both Rich and I……….LOVE IT!
.jpg)
It was like there wasn’t one thing they didn’t get……….we love that, when a couple gets where you want to go with a photo. And, sometimes you get one person who is good at posing and the other isn’t, with these two, they could be funny, sexy, serious, they were TERRIFIC! I call this my Cuba series, as it reminds me of old time Havana with the shadow of the palms on the wall and Kweilin lying there, we think you were GORGEOUS guys!

Their Day of Coordinator, Stephanie Sandoval, provided for some perfect backdrops in which to shoot and also kept the day flowing smoothly. Let me just say here, girls, they are well worth their money, HIRE them. Coordinators know how a day flows, they can keep you on schedule and help to make things look and be beautiful. It is what they do day in and day out. They are worth their weight in gold. I know I have said it before, but don’t skimp on not having one for your affair! Here, more of our yellow theme is carried out in the place cards…..
.jpg)
.jpg)
and in the menu and floral arrangements………..
.jpg)
.jpg)
Remember to carry a theme all the way through, here our couple selected yellow tulips for the bar centerpieces and the cocktail napkins as well as, a limontini (an Italian lemon liquer concoction) which was their signature drink!
.jpg)
.jpg)
How cute, their little cookie favor, again with the yellow theme
.jpg)
And, how cute is this, Stephanie’s husband, Juan Sandoval from AZ Celebrity DJ, provided the music. We also worked with Juan this past weekend as well. He is truly a great DJ, plays up to date music and has a sleek and modern set up. He doesn’t take over your affair like a lot of dj’s can, but instead keeps the party hopping and on track. I have to say this photo below, is one of our all time FAVORITE first dance pics….I just love the raw emotion and feel to this photograph. If that doesn’t say love between two people, I give up…………<3
.jpg)
Kweilin’s mom and dad gave one of the many toasts that day and the love in the room for these two was evident in each one spoken. But, I had to select this one by her parents as my fav. Her mom spoke to Wynston and the group specifically saying that her daughter has always been her “bunny”, a little love name we all give our kids. How she and her husband are giving their most prized possession over to him, for him to love and nurture and protect. Kweilin had told me earlier in the day about how she is an “ugly” crier, but girlfriend, I loved your raw emotion and how everything touched you that day. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Between this toast, your dance with your dad, Wynston’s dance with his mom, it was beautiful to witness as a bystander and to then be given the privilege to capture it for you guys….
.jpg)
.jpg)
.jpg)
OMG, the tear, you had me crying during that dance……….and then again, Wynston, when I edited! It was like, “ok, give me a break here, need to get work done, LOL!”
.jpg)
.jpg)
Now, on to some crazies or I’ll be crying again…..Let’s Pose Photo Booths provided our couple’s photo booths! Just check out the photos below from the photo booth! They are hysterical with all the props and such. AND, it gives the guests something to do outside of dancing and provides a lot of laughs! Love this woman and how she had it going on!
.jpg)
and this one, made me put on Pink Floyd’s “Money” when I saw it!
.jpg)
.jpg)
There is just too much fun going on in this booth………
.jpg)
.jpg)
and how cute is their cake………… done by Maggies Cakes. It made the whole room smell with the most delicious aroma of sugar. Kweilin and Wynston added the little “bunny” for Kweilin and her “lion king” Wynston! (hey Wynston, the lion called and he wants his hair back! (sorry dude, had to make a joke here, LOL)
.jpg)
.jpg)
So thank you guys, we had a blast! We hope you love the pics as much as we did capturing them. Please blog friends, leave us and them a message about the pics and their wedding……….we love to hear from you guys!
