Sunday, 10-10-10, brought Celly and Craig’s wild and wonderful bowling alley reception! It was such a fun time.

Check out the personalized score cards with their names and 10-10-10…

Take a peak at Celly’s delectable bowling form! hahahah

They had rented out the whole bowling alley, Levittown Lanes, for 180 of their closest friends and relatives. When we arrived, the bowling alley was all framed in glow in the dark colors to set the mood for the evening. There was bowling, karaoke, dancing, toasts, food, limbo, and an all around good time for all who were in attendance. Celly wore her custom made vintage creation that she wore on Thursday for the ceremony. It was made by a good friend of theirs and a wonderful dressmaker, John Tomljenovic’s mom. It was really beautiful and reminded me so much of dresses we had hidden away in a cabinet in our attic from my older sister’s proms that they wore in the 50′s. The pleated silk chiffon bodice in a lemony yellow, yummy. Hairstylist, Laura Lotito, did her pin curls. On her feet to coincide with the bowling theme, she donned a pair of fluorescent yellow and hot pink glow in the dark bowling shoes, while Craig wore a “tuxedo” t-shirt for the occasion.

Anna, close friend of Celly and one of their ministers who conducted their wedding ceremony on the beach, helped out by serving as the M.C. of the evening and making sure the whole night ran smoothly. The evening’s festivities began with a welcome speech by Craig and both him and Celeste thanking everyone who had traveled from far and wide all over the globe to share in their happy day with them. Then,Brian, Craig’s brother and Marissa, Celly’s sister, gave to touching and heartfelt toasts. Tears were shed and following the toasts, the slideshow that is in Part I of Celly and Craig’s wedding on our blog, was shown on all the bowling scoring monitors above the lanes. I was so happy that they had loved it and wanted to share it with their guests.

Then after a wide selection of Italian, Mexican and Chinese food served buffet style, we all witnessed the chopping off of the “mini-me’s” of Celeste and Craig! Their friend, Alessia Tenebruso from Free Spirit Cake Co. made the little fondant replicas of their “Muppet Puppets” which were created and used in the making of their Save the Date video! So original and adorable!

Oh no….don’t look….here it comes, the horrible act of mutilation of “little people”…..you guys should be ashamed of yourselves……[tear]…I can’t bare to watch it…..

the evidence…p.s. it just shows what type of a cake tyrant, Craig is, look at Celly’s head vs. Craig’s head. At last Celly left some of him there….!!!!!

and just cause us girls have to stick together, Celly WON the bowling tournament and gets the trophy, sorry big daddy…..

They, meaning their look alike Muppet puppets, made their second appearance at the bowling alley, where they each sat on a table, one for the guys with Craig’s puppet and the men’s bowling shoes, and Celly’s, sat on another table for the ladies with shoes for them.

On another table sat, ten or so bowling pins along with a wide array of colorful markers for guests to sign and write their best wishes. It was an awesome way to take the place of a keepsake guest book!

Cards for the happy couple went in a vintage bowling bag!

In the bar of the bowling alley, Colleen Crumbcake from www.popshopdjs.com spun our tunes for the night. And, OMG, how adorable is her name? I am in love with it, too cute for words. She was adorable and played the best music for everyone to just break loose and go crazy! To start it off, Celly and Craig entered the room and did their first dance…..

and then things got groovin’….

In between dance sets and bowling, one could go into another room all set up for karaoke singing. Craig and Celeste started the night off with their rendition of the Starship’s famous 1987 rock ballad originally sung by Grace Slick, entitled “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” from the movie Mannequin.

Is this not the funniest photo eva…..I’m entitling it the “LINE UP”…..just check out Miss Prim and Proper, second from the left, she couldn’t do anything wrong! But, next to her is definitely the “guilty one” in the line up, then get a kick out of the girl fourth from left next to the “guilty one”, what is up with her eyes and her little crossed curtsy ankles, LOL???? OMG, they made me laugh…..[not laughing AT you, just laughing WITH you….you gave me a big ole’ belly chuckle)

And the Alice in Wonderland-type muppet shots are great, too, as well as the decapitated cake toppers :) Thanks so much Mindi and Rich for capturing our wedding so brilliantly! You two are so talented, and have such an eye for the beautiful, absurd, fun and everything in-between. You couldn't have been more perfect for our wedding. Thanks again! October 13, 2010 4:53 pm
