arizona wedding photography ~ cassandra and steven, part I

This past weekend, we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Cassie and Steven.  I know Cassie from Dawn and Steve’s wedding at the Nardini Manor last November.  I also speak to Cassie on a regular basis on Facebook and she is one of our biggest cheerleaders!  Go Cassie!  Cassie is one of Dawn’s really good friends and was a bridesmaid in her wedding.  We felt so privileged as she even changed her wedding date so she could use us!  Cassie and Steven’s wedding was up in Prescott, Arizona, which is a real, nice, old town full of saloons and atmosphere.  We drove up that morning and scouted the place out for interesting and different locations to shoot.  Then we headed over to the Hassayampa Golf Course where Cassie was busy getting ready.   It looked like something out of a picture book, a big log cabin set under a perfectly blue sky filled with white, puffy clouds.  Inside, we met Cassie as she was hanging out with her girls.  We took a few detail shots and then got ready for the reveal, in which Steven would see her for the first time out on the deck behind the bridal suite.

Then we headed out with just the two of them into the town to keep things private and work quickly.  As soon as the limo stopped, we saw this adorable Italian restaurant, like something out of a Billy Joel song.  We knew we had to take a pic there, I mean, seriously with that red and white checkered tablecloth?

Then not a block further, we found this great alley way which was my favorite spot of the whole shooting.  It had so much character.  Oh and yeah, those are red socks you see Steven sporting.  He is a die hard Red Sox fan, and me, yeah, a Yankee fan….LOL….but we kept it civil,  Although I couldn’t help but bring along my Yankee cap just to tease him a little….:)

Then it was just a quick walk up Whiskey Row to a hallway that provided the best scenery for some shots…..

Then right on Whiskey Row, dead center on the block, is one of the oldest working saloons in the country, The Palace.  They have the neatest bar I have ever seen…..and I just loved how the light was coming in through the front window with the old radiator and piano, perfect simplicity!

I just love these few photos of Cassie by herself, close up…..she is one gorgeous lady, that is for sure….and her bird cage veil, pure perfection with her lace dress.

Next stop, a candy shop down the block.  A child’s wonderland, complete with every kind of sucker imaginable, popcorn, gumballs, you name it, they had it.  I could have spent hours in there just looking and eating my way through!  HAHAHA

There’s those socks again!  I told Steven I was going to photoshop some pinstripes on ‘em!  And, if looks could kill, I would be dead right now, LOL!!!

Check out the littlest flowergirl with her tongue out, how precious is that?  And, the little boys, not to be outdone, wearing their converse sneakers, adorable, I might add…

When we returned from town with our couple, our wedding party had been having a grand old time at the bar…..it was all I could do to corral them into pics, LOL…..

Our ringbearer was holding golf balls right before he went down the aisle and his mom had all she could do to take them from him!  Too cute….

And, just take a peak at our smallest flowergirl yet!  Is she not an angel with her flower in her hair!  OMG, I loved her, so cute….

Our whole wedding party, baby included……anyone up for a funny face photo?  So funny……

Stay tuned for Part II the ceremony and the reception…..
